California just passed a slew of gun control bills, but they quietly passed a law specifically exempting them from the same bills.
Representative should follow the same laws as the people they represent. we are all citizens, and except from certain law enforcement related issues, NOBODY should be exempt from the law. We have already seen with Leland Yee an others, that senators, congressmen and women, and representatives are not above breaking the law. why should we people have such unreasonable restrictions placed upon us, yet they feel that they should not have to abide by the same rules? they pushed it as a safety measure for the good of the people, so why are they not willing to get behind their own laws as well?
