Graciously allow the red states to leave the union without the door hitting them on their behinds whilst they exit.

It would appear that many red states are disgruntled by the results of the recent presidential election. They want to leave. Given that red states receive federal funding sent by blue states; that red states by and large adhere to fundamentalist christian doctrine and seek to impose it on the rest of us I (I refer you to Deuteronomy chapter 20); and that red states have higher teen pregnancy rates while advocating "abstinence only" programs for birth control, it is unreasonable for us to be chained to them ad infinitum. If they would like to leave, we should all just wish them a fond farewell and let them experience the consequences of their actions.
