Gradually shift government subsidies from oil/coal and other non-renewable resources to renewable energy (solar/wind)etc

Created by K.K. on September 22, 2011

If biofuel/solar/wind power and other renewable sources of energy received the same subsidies as oil/coal and other non-renewable sources, the United States would have to depend less on foreign oil sources and burning "clean" coal that invariably increases the cost as the resources get depleted. We have to start shifting resources and subsidies now so we can change our energy sources to more plausible forms of generating energy in the future. Also, it would actually lower the cost of renewables to the point where it would be cheaper to use "green" energy than traditional forms of energy.
