Please act to protect Chen Guangcheng and his family. He has been held under unofficial house arrest until his daring escape to the US embassy. He has requested to come to the United States. His wife has already been beaten and interrogated by guards after he escaped to the US embassy.
Guangcheng has been a leading activist for human rights in China, including work for women's rights against forced abortion and sterilization. He is counting on Sec. of State Hillary Clinton's visit to China to give him the opportunity for freedom.
The US must not let him down, along with all those working for human rights in China and around the world.
Please take decisive action to protect him and his family, and give them asylum in the US.
