Grant benefits to pregnant working woman for paid maternity leave

It is unfair to expect woman to have children and recover without mandatory maternity leave pay. A woman should be granted a respectable paid leave time to help provide her new born child with the important needs it requires in its first year of life. This is important for the physical and mental health of both the mother and child. And equally as important, diapers do not buy themselves! Most working woman rely on their paycheck to pay for their basic needs. To be without this income for any amount of time is devastating!
