Cats are most intelligent, loving, and entertaining beings.
They bring joy and are known to improve health of the people around them.
They also improve family relations - by making everyone happier, and by teaching us to take care of our wonderful, playful, complex furry friends.
But cats are also neglected, abused, and killed seemingly with impunity.
We feel cats are such exceptional beings that they must have special status, similar to what Indian government did with dolphins 3 years ago already (reference: http://bit.ly/1KHu1zx)
Therefore we ask the US administration to take a lead and grant cats non-human Personhood status in US.
We hope this example will be followed worldwide, improving well-being, protection, and respect of our little (in size, not in character) feline friends.
