Grant citizenship to all illegal immigrants currently here by a specific date in 2012 and after that time start viewing illegal immigration as a criminal act ,as it should be, and force deportation.
There was a study done roughly 10 years ago that showed that by 2010 we would have such a shortage in the workforce that employers would be paying top dollar for employees. This would have meant better jobs for the people along with better wages and working conditions.
However since that time we have had a huge surge in illegal immigration which our government has turned a blind eye towards.
We no longer wish to waste our tax money supporting those that are not here legally.
With unemployment as high as it is and our weakened economy it only makes sense to stop the influx of people.
