John Oliver has done an exemplary job educating Americans on important issues. Through humor he has turned topics such as civil forfeiture, drones, student debt, income inequality, predatory lending, corruption, war translators, and the prison industrial complex into household conversations. For his service towards educating Americans on such critical issues and encouraging us all to be more involved; we (the signers of this petition) hereby ask the Obama administration to grant honorary citizenship to Mr. Oliver.
