Grant citizenship to spouses of US citizens after 3 years of marriage, regardless of immigration status or history.

Created by S.M. on November 14, 2012

Most people aren't aware that marrying a US citizen doesn't automatically entitle the citizen's spouse to immigration benefits. The foreign spouse still needs to meet strict criteria of immigration law to legally reside in the country; this needs to change. There are too many arbitrary provisions in US immigration law that hurt and break apart families. Please support family and marriage, and automatically entitle spouses of citizens to obtain citizenship after 3 years of marriage - regardless of immigration status or history.
