grant clemency to Eugenia Pedraza, Mexican mother of three, who halfway through her sentence, could still get deported

Created by J.M. on July 28, 2015

Eugenia Pedraza has served half of her sentence for crimes committed by men who are all out of jail. However, due to her immigration status, deportation is a potential stop at the end of her sentence. Eugenia pled not guilty but did not get a fair trial. The prosecution used an illegally obtained statement from her and she asks for clemency because of her outstanding prison conduct. She has bettered in all aspects of life. She is now fluent in English, takes pride in her jobs and participates in activities such as plays and other programs. She now lives in a special floor for well-behaved women. It is hard to imagine that another would be in prison if fluent in English or if they could afford legal representation. Please do not allow her to be sent back to Mexico.
