This is an official peition for President Obama to grant an executive order for December 26, 2014 as an offical holiday. This would be good gesture in light of having pay freeze and the furlough of last fiscal year. Also, this will boost the morale of federal employees. Very few agencies give authorized absence and/or grant administrative time off the day before Christmas, but being excused as an offical day December 26, 2014 will be very appreciative to all federal workers. So I challenge my fellow federal collegues to sign this petition for executive order.
We urge President Obama to issue an executive order on this issue.
