A Texas judge has granted Ethan Couch a 10 years probation sentence rather than jail time because he suffered a rare case of "affluenza," a disorder caused by having too much money, whereby he didn't realize that his actions had consequences.
Driving with a BAC of 0.24, 16 year-old Ethan plowed into a crowd of pedestrians last June killing Brian Jennings, a youth pastor, Hollie and Shelby Boyles, and Breanna Mitchell. Couch will serve NO JAIL TIME, because he has the wealth to afford a luxury rehab clinic.
Send a message to future drunk drivers that justice needs to be served, and that a jail sentence should be served just the same as it would for anyone else that doesn't suffer from a made-up disorder called "Affluenza".
