Grant every working American a 5% pay increase, by implementing a 5% flat tax, since the current lowest rate is 10%.

This purpose of this petition is to grant every working American at least a 5% pay increase, by eliminating the income tax in it's current form, and imposing it its place a 5% flat tax. This would guarantee that every American who has a job and works, would have at least 5% more in their total take home pay. This is achieved because, in the current system, the lowest tax rate is 10%. The same standard deduction and other deductions for low income people should still apply. This is a true alternative to the proposals of a $15 minimum wage being suggested by certain outlets, in an attempt to highlight the plight of low income earners. Wouldn't 5% more in your paycheck help out. Sign the 5% pledge, and help increase worker's wages the right way.
