As it stands now only the woman has any sort of rights over their child if the parents were never married. The father has to save, while paying child support to a woman that might not even let him see the child, and hire a lawyer for thousands of dollars while the mother gets a free lawyer. The father should have rights since day one just like the mother and shouldn't be assumed to be an unfit parent before given the chances.
