Grant federal income tax exemption for all military pay, both current and retirement.

Created by D.M. on March 13, 2013

The men and women of the United States Armed Forces defend our great nation with distinction and honor. It is a profession unique to any other and deserving of our gratitude and support. Military personnel are paid with American tax dollars, but they also pay taxes every year. This is arguably double taxation. Some states have chosen to honor our heroes by making their income tax-free. Why hasn't the federal government done this? Our warriors in uniform deserve to keep the money they have earned defending our freedoms. All military personnel on active duty, guard, reserve and retired should have a tax exemption for their base pay and any additional pay associated with their duties. This is the right thing to do. They have sacrificed enough and should not have to keep paying for it.
