Recognition of the Wolf Creek Cherokee Tribe, Inc. of Virginia will give the respect and honor deserved the ancestors of the Cherokee people of the Commonwealth of Virginia. As Virginia uses our Cherokee history to promote tourism and teaches our Cherokee history to our school children, we must also respect the Wolf Creek Cherokee Tribe, Inc. by recognizing them as the 12 state recognized tribe in Virginia. We should be respecting all of our Native American Virginians in the same way. No persons should be left out due to politics or pressure from another group.
Our history has already been documented and now is the time to give respect to our Cherokee people in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
