Everyday across America, our LGBT citizens are denied an equal chance at getting and holding employment because they are part of the LGBT community. This injustice occurs because LGBT job protection laws are state mandated and therefore vary by state. If these laws were federally mandated there would be no question as to whether these injustices are legal. I refuse to stand by and watch any portion of our American people being treated as second class citizens.
