Since the Insular Cases in 1901, citizens living in territories are considered "alien races" that shouldn't have the full U.S. Constitution applied to them because they "can't understand our Anglo-Saxon laws". Now, 114 years later it is time to accept that this way of thinking is no longer appropriate or warranted.
All citizens in U.S. territories should be given full U.S. citizenship. Additionally, all territories should have full voting representation in the U.S. government and Congress and their citizens should be given full voting rights.
These citizens enlist in our Armed Services and are sent to fight for our country. They should be allowed to vote for their Commander in Chief.
We live in the 21st century. It is time our laws toward our territories reflect that.
