We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Grant full voting rights and representation in congress to U.S citizens residing in U.S territories.

Created by N.S. on May 16, 2016

This petition is to grant voting power in presidential elections, as well as complete representation in congress to residents of U.S territories that citizens in all other states a guaranteed. Although people in these terretories are naturalized United States citizens, they are not given the same representation in congress that all other states are given, and are not allowed to vote in general presidential elections. The fact that they are denied representation in the very government that could call them to war is an injust breech of voting rights that so many before have fought tirelessly to extend to all citizens. This petition seeks for the U.S government to adress why naturalized citizens of the United States are denied their right to vote as a citizen of a democracy.
