Grant green card to foreign graduate students in Biomedical & Life Sciences along with students in other STEM fields.

Created by C.P. on April 26, 2013

Foreign graduate students in Biomedical & Life Sciences are excluded from the STEM (Science, Technology, & Engineering) Jobs Act. The Act creates a new green card category for aliens graduating with doctorates in computer science, engineering, mathematics, & physical sciences from U.S. universities, but excludes those in Biomedical & Life Sciences. Foreign graduates in biomedical sciences & other biological sciences perform bulk of the research in universities & industries. Their discoveries & inventions have spawned many biotech industries in the past & continue to do so. Many immigrants with PhDs. in biological sciences have started their own companies. Excluding them from this bill is an injustice.
