Grant Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors parity in Medicare reimbursement as Licensed Clinical Social Workers

This is a petition intended for interested citizens who would like to see Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors ("LCPC) have the same parity with Medicare Reimbursement as Licensed Clinical Social Workers ("LCSWs"). Many LCPCs are being threatened with either losing their positions within medical health settings or are not being considered for employment by hospitals or primary care offices because of this. Our job responsibilities and education levels are, in most cases, identical, yet we are denied recognition by the Federal government with regards to Medicare.
