This petition is to allow, by law, living Medal of Honor recipients, or their surviving spouse, a Federal Income Tax exemption for life.
It is only right that they be recognized in this sort of manner. Given that most Medals of Honor are bestowed posthumously, it should be said that those individuals have already paid enough.
Granting them tax exemption status will have a barely negligible effect on overall tax revenue for the US, given how few of these medals are given to our armed service members.
