Grant Mexican illegal immigrants American citizenship after 10 years of living in the U.S.

Created by K.S. on December 02, 2011

The reason it is important to allow Mexican illegal immigrants to stay in the United States after ten years, is because it will minimize the amount of Mexican orphans in the United States; orpahns that are a result of being born in the U.S. to illegal immigrants. This is a huge problem in the U.S. currently. These children have to deal with separation from their parents, and additionally, they are placed in an orphanage or foster care. This is probably traumatic for these children. This also makes these children more likely to enter the prison system, and it makes them more likely to go through the same poverty-stricken cycle as their parents. We can prevent this by making these children's lives better now.
