Grant the military a 10%-15% raise in active duty pay and leave it alone for 5 years. Invest in defending freedom!

The military has been underpaid throughout history! it is time that we invest in those who defend our freedoms and allow them to live with dignity within the community. The sacrifice of our service members is larger than imaginable and the compensation after 20 or more years of a military career is not affording our military members to re-coup for lost time with family, losses due to re-location, or a dignified retirement! An annual increase of 1.6% or 1.7% does not cover the cost of inflation in this country and does not cover increases to growing children, or travel costs to be reunited with families that are separated because of deployment or stationing requirements. A 10-15% increase in base pay would! THEY ARE OUR MOST IMPORTANT ASSETT WHEN IT COMES TO KEEPING OUR COUNTRY FREE!
