Grant Military Retirees the right to receive both retirement and disability compensation.

Created by S.H. on November 15, 2012

Military members who are medically retired are only able to collect retirement or disability whichever is higher. Most all service members who are medically retirement have less than 20 years service. This makes their retirement minimal. So as a result once their disability compensation/pension from the VA starts their retirement pay stops. Since the retirement is from the DOD and Disability is from the VA. They should be entitled to both. This is clearly not double dipping.
