Americans of middle eastern origin are currently classified as White/Caucasian based on the USCIS classification.
We, American people of middle eastern origin, are requesting to have minority status. We are underrepresented minority without consideration from equal opportunity office. This places us in a disadvantaged position in education and career, and prohibits fair competition.
Races of Hispanic, African American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and Asians have been recognized and well established as minority.
We would like to request consideration of minority status for American Middle Eastern people.
