Grant money to NASA to fund the mining of asteroids

Asteroid Mining is the process of mining materials such as Nickel, Iron, and Titanium from objects in space. Since the Earth has a limited number of these resources it is important that we find an exterior source of said resources and I believe that asteroid mining is the answer. But since funding to NASA has been recently been cut, NASA now has no way to fund these ventures. It is crucial that we investigate these new sources of vital minerals and materials and to do so NASA needs to be granted more money.
