There's been recent efforts, in the public and the media, to attack the positions Piers Morgan has taken in the debate on massive violence by firearms in the US, in favor of stricter regulations in the areas of gun control and gun ownership.
We believe that, on the contrary, Mr. Morgan deserves praise and respect for his courageous moral stance in the face of an opposition that lacks neither in determination nor financial support.
Our country is at a tragic crossroads, and we need more leaders of opinion such as Mr. Morgan, with the courage to stand for what is right, and to defend a safer future not only for all of us, but more importantly for all of our children.
