We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Grant a Presidential Pardon to Elijah Muhammad, W. Deen Mohammed and 300 Muslim Men Unjustly Imprisoned

Created by J.B. on September 27, 2016

Elijah Muhammad and his son W. Deen Mohammed were leaders of Americans striving to free themselves from the vestiges of enslavement in America! They were rounded up, taken from their homes and families and imprisoned because they refused to register for the draft as conscientious objectors. These Americans sought the protection of the first amendment - Freedom of Religion. Biographer Claude Andrew Clegg III wrote; “J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI used the charges of draft evasion and sedition as a pretext for conducting a multi-state assault on the [Muslims] Temple People.” Americans who love religious freedom hereby ask the President to Pardon these men and 300 of their followers who were never afforded protection from the religious persecution of that era and who still await justice.
