Biofuel has long been a viable alternative energy source, but is not granted certain tax benefits or proper recognition that could help it become realized on a large scale.
Solar energy gets much attention and is great but this is a very long term investment strategy and we need results in the short term as well.
The numbers don't lie..
"The U.S. Department of Energy's Aquatic Species Program, 1978–1996, focused on biodiesel from microalgae. The final report suggested that biodiesel could be the only viable method by which to produce enough fuel to replace current world diesel usage."
"According to the head of the Algal Biomass Organization algae fuel can reach price parity with oil in 2018 if granted production tax credits."
