Grant Ryan Ferguson A New Trial Or Freedom

Created by R.D. on January 01, 2013

Ryan Ferguson was unfairly convicted in 2005 for the murder of local sports editor Kent Heitholt in Columbia, Missouri. There was no DNA or physical evidence linking Ryan to the crime scene, no motive, Ryan had no criminal background, passed a polygraph test and had no connection to the victim.

The only 'evidence' against Ryan was from two witnesses who've now recanted their testimony and admitted they committed perjury, under pressure from the prosecution. There is currently no actual evidence keeping Ryan in jail.

Ryan was sentenced to 40 years in jail at the age of 19. His case has been featured extensively on NBC's Dateline, CBS's 48 Hours, the Today Show and in many magazine and newspapers. This innocent young man has already lost too many years of his life. Justice must be done.
