Grant Sami Kazikhani - An Afghan Translator Threatened By The Taliban - Immediate Entry Into The United States

Created by A.J. on August 08, 2016

Sami Kazikhani, a 32-year-old man originally from Afghanistan, secretly risked his life as a translator to assist American forces fighting the Taliban, potentially saving numerous American lives in the process. However, he was outed as an American collaborator, with the Afghan Taliban putting a bounty on his head. Forced to flee his home country with his family, he has been caught up in the current refugee crisis in Europe, eventually making it to Germany in late 2015. Faced with the possibility of deportation back to Afghanistan, he applied for entry into the United States under a Special Immigrant Visa, but his application was denied in the spring of 2016. We petition the Obama Administration - on behalf of his service to our nation - to grant him immediate access for his safety.
