To grant to the State of Ohio her own sovereignty and allow us to withdraw from this Union of States.

With sadden heart under the circumstances, We see that in our best interest and survival, that We the People of the great State of Ohio, here do ask in peaceful manner, to allow us to withdraw from this Union of States that have existed since the U.S. Constitution was signed in 1789. But now, with this country's growing debt that will not allow this State to prosper in economy and liberty, We the People, stand ready to withdraw to form our own Republic as guaranteed in our Constitution. We, the undersigned, also agreed to participate in the efforts to grant this petition. May God be with us in our doing.
