Grant statehood to the five inhabited territories (PR, GU, MP, VI, & AS) and to the federal city (DC).

Created by R.S. on March 16, 2014

Puerto Rico, Guam, and American Samoa have been US territories since 1898.

Northern Mariana Islands are administered by the US because of the UN.

US Virgin Islands were purchased from Denmark in 1917.

DC used to be a part of MD before it was the capital.

All of the aforementioned regions do not have any voting power in the House of Representatives or the Senate, creating an issue of taxation without representations (along with the harboring of America's imperialist legacy). Thus, we should grant statehood to all territories and the federal city to embolden the American democracy.
