As the death toll mounts in the Philippines following the destruction of Typhoon Haiyan, many Filipinos abroad are scrambling to find out about the safety of family and friends back home. Roads, cars, bridges and buildings were wiped away leaving cities with nothing more than heaping piles of debris, and hundreds of thousands of people with no place to go.
We, at The Law Offices of Spar & Bernstein see a need for assistance and we are urging government leaders to provide aid to those affected, by offering temporary protected status – an impermanent humanitarian relief from deportation for nationals living in the United States.
