The number of foreign nationals who have served in the United States Military is staggering. Like any other member of the Armed Forces, these brave men and women have sworn an oath "To uphold and defend the Constitution..." yet, upon discharge have no status as a Citizen of the very nation they have risked their lives for.
It is reprehensible that a person may be ordered in harms way for a Nation that will not allow them to partake in the government process, vote, or receive certain benefits that other members of society, many of whom have never served, are guaranteed.
Therefore, it is asked that any member of the Armed Forces, after serving Honorably for two years, be granted Permanent Resident Status, and after 4 years of Honorable Service, granted United States Citizenship
