grant US Vets the same courtesies as those afforded to incoming Syrian refugees. That it should be done transparently.

This is not about hate, or isolationism. It is, in every way, a call for a greater degree of transparency in working to create a better life for those US Veterans that need it. If we are going to accept refugees and expend US dollars for their relocation and livelihood, for however long that may be, it should be an equally pressing matter to afford our US Veterans with, at the very least, the same courtesy. It is patently un-American to have homeless Veterans. It is morally repugnant that we have Veterans seeking assistance, only to be told that bureaucracy and antiquated notions of "fair and equitable" prevent them from having what so many have earned. We must not forget those who swore to protect the land that, through their efforts, is free enough to give shelter to foreign refugees.
