Grant Work Permit to Spouses of F-1 and H-1B Visa Holders

Created by C.P. on April 26, 2013

Spouses of F-1 and H-1B visa holders are not able to engage in gainful employment in the United States, while spouses of E-1, E-2, L-1, and J-1 visa holders are getting preferential treatment by receiving work authorization from the USCIS. This kind of discrimination seems unjustified when the spouses enter the United States as dependents of the principal visa holders. We urge the government to treat all immigrants entering legally equally.
