Greek Life: Holding Values True

Created by S.H. on April 21, 2015

Recently, a video surfaced of members from the University of Oklahoma fraternity chapter, Sigma Alpha Epsilon chanting a song depicting racism. Greek life has always had the reputation for partying and drinking, but it is so much more than that. Being involved in one of the Greek organizations will teach students leadership and social skills, give them business connections, and offers students many scholarship opportunities, but only if the students hold the values of their organization true. The goal here is to hold students accountable for their actions and for the organizations to recognize their wrongdoings even if it means removal from the fraternity or sorority.
