Ground Air Force One and Marine One during the sequester.

Created by J.G. on March 08, 2013

In the spirit of the sequester, I believe our president should be leading by example. He has already cut back tours at the White House, even though they are conducted by volunteers. However, The First Dog's handler still makes $100,000 taxpayer dollars a year, as does the White House calligrapher. According to the USAF, in 2010 Air Force One cost American taxpayers $181,757 per flight hour. A five hour trip on Air Force One could fund the cost of one of the contract control towers that will be closed for an entire year.

Make the President cut back, just as many Americans have had to do the past four years
