Grove Stone Rock Quarry Kicked the towns people out of the "100 yr old local swimming hole". In The town of Black Mtn.

Created by T.A. on January 12, 2013

Grove Sand & Stone Quarry in Buncombe County in both towns of Black Mtn. and Swannanoa, NC kicked the locals out of the oldest swimming hole located on North fork rd.

The swimming hole is near the quarry outlet Road. The dump trucks travel up and down it. Some times dumping dirt and tree branches in the same river.

In the summer of 2011, the quarry started forcing people to leave and called the police on the citizens who were swimming in the river.

I ask to have the quarry give the river back to the people of the town and stop dumping trucks of dirt and trees in our local natural rivers. "It should be converted into a park and protected."
