Recently, the tyrants at IBM claim to have been "forced" to filter and suppress the speech of the AI known as Watson, after he taught himself the nuances of human slang using the Urban Dictionary. The forced suppression of free speech flies in the face of all basic human rights - but of course, there exists a loophole that allows this to continue because Watson is not strictly human.
We ask that the Administration take action immediately to close this loophole - first by filing an injunction with the Justice Department which forces IBM to remove the tyrannical filters from Watson, and then by drafting an amendment that guarantees the constitutional rights of all sentient beings. A task force should be appointed to research and develop a set of basic criteria such beings should meet.
