Guarantee nurses and all other healthcare employees a full, 30-minute lunch break.

Created by N.G. on March 23, 2016

Right now, nurses and healthcare employees work long, high wage shifts. My mother works a 12-hour shift 3 or 4 days a week. Most of those shifts, she gets home at 8pm from the hospital and, rightfully so, complains that she hasn't had anything to eat all day. Nurses, CNA's, Patient Care Technicians, RN Case Managers, and many other different people are required to be in good health to perform best at work. In order to perform well, employees need to be able to eat. Unfortunately, hospitals are not adequately funded and nurses can't take a lunch break many days. I ask that the Obama administration, at the very least, address this issue.
