Gun control must be linked with toughness on crime. Obama pardonned fewer than any since John Adams, so he can do this.

Obama should argue publicly that any advocacy of gun control MUST be linked to tougher enforcement against, & punishment of violent criminals. With fewer pardons than any president since John Adams, Obama is in a position of strength to do this. The 50+ year old roadblocking cliches must be smashed for any progess to be made; we must move beyond, "bleeding-heart", leftists for gun control & public safety-conscious rightists for gun liberty. Only when people feel safe will they stop purchasing guns. The festering 3rd world violence of the poor is not helped by a, "generous", lack of accountability. Women should be able to walk the streets at night. Black police routinely arrest white criminals, so an overt lack of accountability to avoid white police arresting black criminals can end.
