We the people need to be accountable for our actions and as the 2nd Amendment suggests we have the right to bear arms. Gun owners need to always practice safety including properly locking your firearms in a gun safe or a locking mechanism for the trigger. Make gun owners accountable for their actions or suffer stiffer penalties if their gun gets into the hands of a criminal. We also need to have universal background checks including household checks of family members living in the residence that might be considered dangerous in some way. Before we allow gun ownership you must go through an approved safety program to fully understand responsibility as a gun owner.
