Introduce a policy that fixes the dismissive practice of current background check that allows guns to fall into the wrong hands such as people with mental disabilities (case of James Holmes), Create a definitive system that assesses one's liability to own a gun quantitatively (with medical records, required annual mental health evaluation, and etc).
We should remind ourselves that a gun is a “lethal” weapon, capable of taking away one’s life. Such a powerful tool that could determine one’s life or death should only be in the hands of the capable and educated.
