Current proposals for gun control center around banning firearms based on how dangerous the gun is perceived to be. The fact is all guns are extremely dangerous. Our law enforcement and military organizations mitigate this danger with processes designed to screen, train, and qualify the people in those organizations who use or may use firearms. We are petitioning Congress to pass legislation that would require all civilian gun owners to be prepared for gun ownership and use in ways similar to law enforcement and military organizations; hopefully better.
