We need sweeping gun regulations, and we need them immediately. I value my rights as much as any other American, but we have put other rights on hold in the case of emergency, in the name of safety. We must do so now. We need to tighten regulations to stop guns from being in the hands of people who would not use them peaceably, RIGHT NOW. We need to put a major effort behind researching the methods for preventing and regulating these dangerous machines, as we do with automobiles.
