Gun Safety Mechanism

Created by M.D. on February 01, 2013

Propose legislation that would require all devices, not intended for military use, that expel a projectile capable of doing bodily harm that are either imported to or manufactured in the United States have a safety mechanism that requires the operator to mechanically reset the operation of the device with 2 physical actions after 6 projectiles are expelled from the device.

The intentionally broad wording of this proposal is to require a physical safety mechanism in all new devices that are capable of being used as a weapon to inject a meaningful delay in continuous operation to provide an opportunity for external intervention of future operation.
