Guns should be treated like cars. They are complicated to operate and dangerous when an untrained individual uses them. All people wanting to buy a gun should have an background check and gun license.
Each individual should have to take a training class and pass a test before being able to own or operate a gun. No different than owning and operating a car.
The class should have two parts. One would be on proper operation of the gun and the other would be on safety.
